Helox is the continuation of an 8 generation family saga, Heursel 1745 with Eric De Waele, and 3 generations of highly professional watch repairers with Roberto de Bokx.
Together, we chose to take a new path as a result of the difficult accessibility of the city centre, the increased demands on a workshop by different watch brands and the evolution of the online world.
Helox is not just about repairing and maintaining watches. Your jewellery is also in safe hands with us.
Eric De Waele
After more than 30 years in my jewellery shop Heursel 1745 in the Langemunt in Ghent, I decided to focus on what I love most. Listening to my customers and advising and supporting them in their choices and desires around haute horlogerie and high quality jewellery.
The collaboration with Roberto de Bokx opens a new perspective. The development of a fully functional repair service is one of my new challenges. With the utmost confidence, I leave the repair and maintenance of the watches of my beloved clients in the hands of Roberto.
Roberto de Bokx
As a little boy I saw my father and grandfather working a lot on watches and clocks. It fascinated me tremendously, so it was only natural for me to follow in the footsteps of my great examples.
I studied in Antwerp and in 2000 I opened my own watch studio in Ghent. Over the years, I've done several internships including at Omega and Breitling in Switzerland. We maintain and overhaul almost all major brands including Omega, Breitling, Longines, Tag Heuer, Rado, Tissot, Pierre Balmain, Certina.
As it became clear that it is better and more pleasant for the owners of a timepiece to speak directly, so that professional advice can be provided immediately, I decided to put more effort into this.
In 2020, I found my soul mate in Eric De Waele.
