Maintenance
Like any high-precision instrument, a watch needs regular maintenance to function perfectly.
As a general rule, a service interval is every 4 to 5 years, depending on the use of the watch.
We have a modern workshop with an optimal infrastructure and a highly qualified professional watchmaker who insures the repairs, service and repair of watches from our current collection as well as old watches. Our employees enjoy continuous training to maintain and improve the level of service we offer to our customers.
Replacing batteries
Would you like to have a battery professionally replaced? Then you can come to our workshop. By having the battery of your watch (regardless of the brand) professionally replaced, the chance of damage to your watch, such as scratches on the cover or placing the battery too brutally, which can cause damage to the interior, is reduced. We also check the consumption of the movement and do not just install a battery (see also "Checking the water tightness").
Repair of clocks
Grandfather's clock, which has worked in the living room for more than countless years, has stopped! Don't worry, we can help you with this as well. As antique clocks are often made to very high quality standards, they still have thick solid adjusting plates and heavy steel shafts, they can usually be repaired properly. If necessary, we will collect the clock from your home and return it to you.
Tip 1: In principle, you cannot break the springs of a clock by turning them over too far - unless you would already be using water pump pliers to wind them up. If the feathers do break, it will be more likely due to old age!
Tip 2: When lifting the weights, it is better not to lift the weights themselves. You just have to pull the chain. Feel free to mail us if you have any questions!
Cleaning and polishing
By polishing the strap and/or the case, the timepiece gets a fresh look again. We can do this during maintenance but also when the movement does not need any maintenance. We also take care of cleaning the strap and/or case. It is best to clean a metal strap at least once a year. This has the advantage that the life span of your strap is extended. We also check the pins that hold the links together in such a way that the watch cannot just come loose while wearing it.
Watertightness
Many people think when buying a watch that it will always be waterproof. Unfortunately this is not the case. Aging of the seals, damage to the seals and a shock or shock from the outside can affect the waterproofness. A check and repair of the water-tightness is a must for many watches. Watches with moisture damage are regularly brought into the workshop every year, which can result in high repair costs. Having your watch checked every two years to see whether it is still watertight is therefore no superfluous luxury. Feel free to contact us if you have any questions!

Your watch strap has become too big or too small, you have received a watch as a gift or just bought it yourself on the internet: we will be happy to customize the straps for you.

You are about to buy a watch from a webshop but there are doubts or you just want more security, here too we can help you with advice and action.
